Girls on the Run of Southeastern Michigan (GOTR Se MI) is an affiliate of the national program Girls on the Run International.  GOTR Se MI was incorporated in 2002 and covers the counties of Washtenaw, Livingston, Monroe, Lenawee and Jackson Counties. Our program uniquely combines training for a 3.1 mile run/walk event with life-changing, self esteem enhancing lessons that encourage healthy habits and an active lifestyle in 8-12 year old girls. We are a non-profit organization funded through corporate and individual donations, grants, registration fees and special events. Our coaches are women from the community passionate about living a healthy lifestyle and making a difference in the lives of young girls. The coaches are trained by GOTR Se MI staff to facilitate the program and are CPR/First Aid certified.
