Meet our Board of Directors
Bruce Kintz, President
Bruce Kintz, CLU, is the current chair of Girls on the Run Southeastern Michigan as well as the Wolverine Human Services. Bruce has been a part of the GOTRSEMI board since January of 2008. Bruce is president of Secure Harbor Financial, LTD in Ann Arbor and has been in financial services since 1981. Bruce is a 1980 graduate of the University of Michigan and has obtained his Chartered Life Underwriter designation from the American College. Bruce currently resides in Ann Arbor with his wife Lori and their two children, Marcus and Natalie.
William Holmes, Vice President
Bill is currently an American Airlines Captain and Vice President of Chelsea Milling Company. He spends a large amount of his time and energy volunteering with a variety of different organizations. Bill is currently the chair of the St. Joe’s Hospital Renewal Campaign ($100 million) as well as participates on the Quality Committee. He also sits on numerous boards in the community including the St. Joseph Mercy Health System, the Purple Rose Theatre, the Ann Arbor YMCA where he is on the finance and camp committee, the Joan C. Banfield Foundation, and the University of Michigan Club in Ann Arbor. Bill joined the GOTRSEMI board in November of 2007.
Bill is the father of three daughters and enjoys running. He has completed over 30 marathons to date. Bill also partakes in high performance motorcycle track competition and anything to do with University of Michigan Athletics.
Jim Tish, Treasurer
Jim is an Audit Partner with Grant Thornton LLP, a global audit, tax and advisory firm. Jim has a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Miami University of Ohio and a M.B.A. from the University of Michigan. Jim and his wife Susan lived and worked in France and Germany for five years and have three children. He first heard about Girls on the Run when his daughter participated in the program in 2008 and she has run several 5k events since then. He enjoys coaching basketball, travel, and running.
Allison Lazette, Secretary
Allison Lazette is currently an associate attorney with Magdich & Associates, PC in Novi, Michigan, practicing general negligence, premises liability, automobile liability, insurance disputes, medical malpractice defense, and subrogation matters. Allison was born and raised in Michigan and attended undergrad at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and law school at Michigan State University College of Law in East Lansing. Outside of work, Allison enjoys volunteering and also frequently participates in running events. Allison also enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Allison first heard of Girls on the Run during her years attending University of Michigan and joined the Board of Directors in 2010. Allison is inspired by GOTR's mission and is delighted to be a part of such a motivating organization.
Debbie Crispin, Honorary Member
Debbie is the owner of Bill Crispin Chevrolet in Saline Michigan. She is also the co-founder of LiveWithGratitude.com, an inspirational e-commerce business. Debbie is a graduate of Northwood Institute and has been involved in the automotive industry for over 25 years. While Debbie is deeply involved in day to day operations of her dealership, she serves on several community and national boards. Debbie’s true passion is to help inspire people, especially young people, to be the best they can be. The GOTR philosophy touched her heart so deeply she became determined to be a part of the program and help promote the philosophy within her community. Debbie joined the GOTR board in 2010. Her 9 year old daughter has been a Girls on the Run participant for two years now.
Lakshmi Halasyamani, MD, Honorary Member
Lakshmi is the Vice President for Quality and Systems Improvement, SJMHS. She attended Harvard Medical School and completed a residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
She has extensive experience in quality improvement efforts and is a Six Sigma black belt. She has used this training to improve clinical care in the areas of heart failure, care coordination and care transitions. Lakshmi continues to work clinically as an academic hospitalist.
Lakshmi is a member of the NQF Steering Team for Care Coordination, is the Secretary of the Society of Hospital Medicine, and is a past-chair and current member chair of the Society of Hospital Medicine’s Quality and Patient Safety Committee. Through these roles she has lead a variety of task forces and sub-groups targeted at improving care across the continuum. She has published several peer-reviewed articles and written several book chapters related to hospital medicine and quality improvement and patient safety.
Ryan Noel, Board Member
Ryan is an Administrator within Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan. He earned his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) as well as a BA in Economics, from the University of Michigan. He is very active in the community, serving on multiple boards including the Ronald McDonald House. He is also a member of Next Generation Philanthropists, a donor advised fund, and volunteers weekly at Mott Childrens Hospital at the University of Michigan. Ryan joined the GOTRSEMI board in September 2010. He has run three marathons to date, and is looking to run his fourth in the fall of 2011. Ryan loves traveling, cooking, and playing basketball and golf.

Katherine Valle, Board Fellow
Kathy is a second year graduate student at the University of Michigan. She is a graduate research assistant at the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching (CRLT) and her interests are in improving educational equity for all students. Inspired by LeaderShape in 2005, she has focused her time and energy in developing the leadership skills and abilities of Latino youth. Kathy lived in Dominican Republic for a couple of years working at a local and national level. There, she picked up running, a need for traveling, and a love for dancing. She first heard about Girls on the Run when her friends in graduate school were participating and volunteering in the program.
