Our dream is to make our program available to every girl in southeastern Michigan regardless of her family’s ability to pay our registration fee. Almost ninety percent of our program sites are hosted at Title One schools that serve under-resourced, low-income communities. In 2008 less than 50 families requested financial assistance. In 2015, we provided scholarships to 841 girls. That is quite a leap! We are extremely proud that since being founded in 2002 we have never turned a family away.
Will you help us inspire even more girls in our community to make positive choices, avoid negative behaviors and create generations of healthy, confident female leaders?
Girls on the Run is only able to exist and expand thanks to our wonderful community partners. We are seeking sponsors to provide additional support so that we may continue to provide access for all girls who wish to participate. This year, 42% of our girls have requested either full or partial financial support to participate in the program. The actual cost per girl is $150 and with your help, we will make this program available to every eligible girl, regardless of her family’s ability to pay. Our grantors and corporate partners help us inspire every girl in our community to reach her full potential! Email email@example.com for more information about becoming a sponsor.
Cash gifts are the simplest and easiest gifts you can make. Checks made payable to Girls on the Run may be mailed to P.O. Box 995 Ann Arbor, MI 48106. You can also donate online by clicking the button at the bottom of this page.
An easy way to double, or even triple, your donation is to find out if your company has a matching gift program. Such programs typically match all, or a percentage of employee contributions, to charitable organizations, making the employer a partner in employees’ personal philanthropy. Simply obtain a matching gift form from your employer’s human resources office, fill it out, and provide it to Girls on the Run with your contribution.
Girls on the Run welcomes your gift through a pledge — whether it be one year or multiple years. With a pledge, you may complete your gift by making regular payments over time.
An endowed gift is one that is held in perpetuity. The gift is invested, with a portion of its annual investment return used for purposes specified by the donor.
You may make deferred or planned gifts, including bequests and other options for your estate. Girls on the Run will work directly with you and your representatives to determine the best way for you to make a planned gift.
If you’d prefer you can donate items or services as a way to support our program. Some examples of in kind contributions include – graphic artist services, catering, printing services, inflatables and children’s entertainment. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like a copy of our wish list.
