Danielle Plunkett-Johnson is the Program Director for Girls on the Run of Southeastern Michigan. She graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Community Relations and Psychology. Danielle spent six years traveling the U.S. and abroad as a Team Leader for Learning Forum, where she facilitated, modeled and promoted academic and personal growth for students through positive support and communication as well as use of powerful experiential learning techniques. She then spent five years in the anti-violence movement supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

Danielle loves to hike, run, practice yoga and has recently taken up the Brazilian martial art of Capoeira . She is a vegetarian who wants very much to have a garden someday. And as the niece of seven aunts, the oldest of four sisters and the mother of a "magical fairy-princess" (featured here) Danielle feels like she knows a little something about girls.
