Danielle Plunkett has spent two decades as a servant leader combining her passion for social advocacy with her skills in personal and community development. She began volunteering as a coach for Girls on the Run in 2003. Danielle was hired as our first full time staff member in 2005. She has helped grow Girls on the Run of Southeastern Michigan's reach from 215 participants to serving over 2,000 girls and families each year. Danielle lives in Ypsilanti with the light of her life, her eight year old son.
Lisa Gizzi has been with Girls on the Run of Southeastern Michigan since she began as a volunteer coach when she brought the program to her two daughter's school in 2004. She went on to coach for 14 seasons, winning the first Girls on the Run International Coach of the Year Award before joining on staff as the Program Director in 2009. After seeing firsthand the impact Girls on the Run can have on, not only the girls in the program, but their families, Lisa says it has motivated and inspired everything she brings to, and does for, the mission. Lisa is married to the love of her life with whom she shares two daughters in college and a son in high school.
Kelley Kozloff has been involved with Girls on the Run of Southeastern Michigan since 2009, first as a coach for two seasons, then as a volunteer on Team Adelaide. Kelley joined the staff in 2012, and coordinated our Girls on the Run 5k and Superhero 5k events for 4 years. Her work at GOTRSEMI is ever-evolving and she enjoys the challenge and constant learning it brings. She has run two races for our council as a SoleMate, most recently the 2016 Chicago Marathon. Kelley lives in Ann Arbor with her husband and twin daughters.
Rhonda Fields has worked (on and off again) with GOTRSEMI since 2011. As a graduate of the University of Michigan, she has spent a majority of her career in schools as a School Social Worker and middle school teacher whose passion for children and their social and emotional growth within schools has motivated her to work with GOTRSEMI. As a Program & Development Coordinator, her role is to encourage individuals in the community to support our organization either through their time, talents or financial support. Rhonda lives in Oakland County with her favorite person, her husband, Mychael.
LaToya has worked with young people in her community for over 20 years and is certain that strong, confident children can do great things in the world. The mission and core values of Girls on the Run and her personal beliefs align perfectly making her position as the Event & Volunteer Coordinator so rewarding. As a graduate of the University of Michigan and Walsh College, LaToya has 18 years of experience in event management that she plans to use to help further the vision of the organization. LaToya lives in Ypsilanti Township with her husband and 3 children.
Amanda Dove first became involved with Girls on the Run in 2010 when she volunteered as an assistant coach in the greater Kalamazoo area and then ran in the Chicago marathon the same year as a SoleMate. Since graduating from Kalamazoo College Amanda has volunteered as a coach for two seasons at Angell Elementary in Ann Arbor and is working to pursue her Masters in Accounting. Amanda joined the GOTRSEMI team in December of 2015 as Program and Administrative Assistant and is looking forward to working with her new team for an organization that has inspired her since day one in Kalamazoo.
In 2009, Lizzie Keller first became involved with Girls on the Run as a site leader and coach while working as a school social worker in Ann Arbor. As a volunteer and now as our Registration Coordinator and Program Assistant, she feels as though she hit the jackpot getting to work for an organization whose values are centered on gratitude, diversity, intentionality and the empowerment of girls and their families. Lizzie lives in Ann Arbor where you can find her with her husband running…after their 3 year old son.
